Subscription & Billing Policy

This Subscription & Billing Policy ("Policy") explains how Avaplicity, Inc. ("Avaplicity," "we," "us," or "our") offers, bills, renews, and cancels consumer subscriptions for the Avaplicity iOS app and related services (the "Services"). It forms part of our Terms of Use and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.

Plans & Pricing (Founder)

We currently offer the following consumer plans in U.S. dollars (USD):

  • Founder Beta: Free. 1 scheduled daily check‑in (push reminders). Voice‑first with text fallback.
  • Pro: $14.99/month or $149/year. Not available yet. We'll announce details in‑app when purchases are enabled.

Features may vary by version or region. The App Store page at purchase time is the definitive source.

Purchases via Apple In-App Purchase

  • Merchant of Record. When available, subscriptions will be sold through Apple's App Store. Apple is the merchant of record; we do not collect or store your full payment card details.
  • Entitlements. We will use RevenueCat to validate App Store receipts and manage access to Pro entitlements when available. Your Pro features will remain active as long as Apple shows an active subscription for your Apple ID.
  • Taxes. Any applicable taxes are determined and collected by Apple.

Auto-Renewal & Renewal Dates

  • Auto-renewal. When Pro subscriptions become available, monthly and annual plans will automatically renew for successive terms unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current term.
  • Billing timing. Apple typically charges your Apple ID within 24 hours prior to the renewal date.
  • Managing your subscription. You can view, change, or cancel your Avaplicity subscription in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. We cannot cancel on your behalf.

Cancellations, Refunds & Proration

  • Cancel anytime. You can cancel through Apple's subscription settings. After canceling, access to Pro features continues until the end of your current paid term.
  • Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. To request a refund, use Apple's support and refund channels. We are not able to issue or accelerate refunds.
  • Upgrades & downgrades. Effective dates and any proration are governed by Apple's rules and may vary by region and product. The App Store will show the effective date before you confirm a change.

Founder Beta (Free) Plan

  • Not a trial. Founder Beta is free during the beta period. We may modify features or availability with notice.
  • One scheduled check-in per day. Founder Beta includes one daily scheduled check-in via push reminder.
  • Voice-first with text fallback. Speak or type your thoughts during check-ins.

Fair-Use Limits

To protect service quality, we may enforce reasonable usage limits (e.g., rate limits, session length, daily/monthly activity). Excessive or abusive usage (including automated scraping, high-volume botting, or attempts to degrade service) may result in throttling, temporary limits, or suspension under our AUP.

Promotions, Trials & Coupons

  • Trials. If we offer a free or discounted trial in the future, the App Store will show the trial length and conversion terms before you confirm. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription will convert to a paid plan per the offer terms.
  • Promotions & coupon codes. From time to time we may run promotional pricing or provide codes redeemable in the App Store. The store page will control the offer's terms, eligibility, and duration.

Price & Feature Changes

  • Price changes. We may change plan prices. Apple will notify you of any price increase and, where applicable, require your consent to continue. If you do not consent, your subscription will not renew at the increased price.
  • Feature changes. We may modify or discontinue features. Material changes to paid features will be communicated in-app or by email where feasible.

Billing Issues & Chargebacks

When Pro becomes available: If Apple cannot charge your Apple ID (e.g., payment method failure), Apple may pause or cancel your subscription and we may remove Pro entitlements until the issue is resolved. Repeated chargebacks or suspected fraud may result in suspension or termination under our Terms of Use.
